Adult Services Librarian

Under the general direction of the Library Director, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of services to adults and is responsible for the maintenance of the adult collection.  This position also assists with general circulation duties at the library in Manning. This is a supervisory position and requires independent judgement and action within specific parameters. A Masters in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program is required.  A minimum of two-years’ experience working in an educational, childcare, or library setting is required.  Must have a valid South Carolina driver’s license and safe driving record and clear/passing Criminal Background Check and drug test. GIS Analyst

Under general supervision, performs a variety of complex technical and analytical functions in support of the operations of the Assessor’s Office involving the development of maps and related digital spatial data products; updates and maintains the County’s Geographic Information System (GIS) parcel layer information. Utilizes GIS techniques to perform varying analysis methods that integrate with CAMA to improve data accuracy and consistency.  Provides support for mobile assessing tool with seamless integration of data to master database increasing efficiency.  Reports to the County Assessor. Associate degree in GIS, engineering, computer drafting, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience maintaining parcel data in GIS relating to local government preferred. Possession of a valid South Carolina driver’s license is required.

EMT

Under general supervision of designated fire/rescue officers, performs external fire suppression, provides medical care, ensures equipment maintenance and readiness; provides the best possible control in emergency situations in order to protect the lives and property of those in need of assistance.  Must be at least 18 years of age, at time of employment. Able to successfully complete physical agility test. Must successfully pass medical physical examination and pass testing for illegal drugs/substances. High School graduate or equivalent. Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license. Required Certifications: External Firefighter  or equivalency, State of South Carolina Emergency Medical Technician – Basic; National Registry Emergency Medical Technician; Basic Life Support - CPR

PARAMEDIC

Under general supervision of designated fire/rescue officers, performs response and medical treatment to patients requesting assistance through 911, provides the best possible control in emergency situations in order to protect the lives and property of those in need of assistance.  Must be at least 18 years of age, at time of employment. Able to successfully complete physical agility test. Must successfully pass medical physical examination and pass testing for illegal drugs/substances. High School graduate or equivalent. Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license. Required Certifications: South Carolina EMT- Paramedic Certification, National Registry Paramedic, Basic Life Support – CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Shift Firefighter

The Clarendon County Fire Department is accepting applications for a Career Shift Firefighter position.  Minimum requirements are:  IFSAC or Pro Board Firefighter I certification with current CPR & First Aid, and a valid SC Driver’s License equivalent to a Class E or Class D with fire apparatus endorsement, with a clean driving record.  Experience is preferred.  Firefighter II, Emergency Vehicle Driver Training and Pump Operations certifications are preferred.  Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.  Must be at least 18 years of age, at the time of employment.  High School graduate or equivalent.  Two (2) years of experience and training in fire service programs, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. You will be required  to obtain your National Registry Certification within 12 months of being hired.
