Jacqueline Blackwell, Coroner
A native of Alcolu, South Carolina is the daughter of Henrietta Burgess Blackwell and the late Willie Jasper Blackwell. A 1972 graduate of Manning High School attended South Carolina State University and obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in 1986 of Morris College. Jacquie is the first African American Female Deputy Sheriff of the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office where she worked as an Investigator and Juvenile Officer. She worked with Manning Police Department as an Officer and Victim’s Advocate. She concluded her regular retirement as a Lieutenant with South Carolina State University Police Department. She was a teacher in Clarendon School District Two. She is currently a South Carolina State Constable with over 30 years in Law Enforcement. Jacquie worked a Victim/Witness Advocate for the Third Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office. She is the mother of three adult children and grandmother of nine. Her mission is to treat families with dignity, respect and compassion.
Terrrance Tindal
Terrance G. Tindal is a native of Summerton, SC and a proud graduate of Scott’s Branch High School. He is the youngest of three to Henrietta Tindal and the late John H. Thomas. Tindal is a part of several organizations throughout the state and has held many positions in most of them including the Scott’s Branch High Alumni Association, Clarendon County NAACP and K & H Resource Center. He is an entrepreneur and community activist. Tindal currently serves as Council Member for the Town of Summerton.
Charles H. Jackson
Charles was born in Columbia, SC, the only child of Moses J. and Martha Gist Jackson. They were the owners of Jackson Funeral Home in Sumter, South Carolina. After the death of his parents, Charles managed the funeral home until his death. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Charles worked for the Department of Corrections for five years. “Wanting to see the world”, Charles drove tractor trailers over the United States for eight years. He returned home and worked with his cousin, Hayes F. Samuels, Jr. (former Coroner of Clarendon County) at Samuels Funeral Home as a Deputy Coroner until his death. He is currently the Manager/Funeral Director/ Embalmer for the funeral home. He is married to the former Eloise Stukes Conyers and they have an extended family of six children, 7 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Albert Mobley
Albert started with the Coroner’s Office November 2017 as a Deputy Coroner. He is currently the Chief Deputy Coroner and Administrative Assistant. He worked as a former Security Officer for six years, Clarendon County EMS for 6 years as a former South Carolina State Trooper for 20 years. He is a Licensed Funeral Director.
